Whenever I use this primer, I feel like just using a makeup wipe or washing my face isn’t enough, and it’s only when I clean my skin with Clarisonic, does it really feel that I got this primer out of my pores. It is not bothersome and fades away after a short while. One con I should mention here is that even though this is labelled as non-comedogenic meaning it will not block facial pores, you should take extra care and be thorough while cleaning your face. My skin stayed flawless looking my foundation did not settle into pores and did not crack over my fine lines. It did not stick or accentuate the dryness of my skin and I feel that foundation when applied over it just glides effortlessly. This primer did improve the wear time of my makeup. This primer sat very comfortably on my dry skin even without a moisturizer underneath. At most, I did see a little bit of glow, but that was it. Perhaps if they introduced it as a nightly treatment of sorts? That could work? But not as a face primer!

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer And I’m fine with that! I like shimmer but not on my face thanks very much! I’m not really sure about the entire gold shimmer luminosity thing because honestly after application I didn’t feel this added any radiance to my skin or my foundation. Instead, it ends up providing too moist a surface which makes my foundation fade away! It’s the type of product that provides a little too much moisture and doesn’t offer a surface that aids foundations in adhering to skin.
Or at least it doesn’t in the day time, maybe in the evening, but wearing this in the day? No! I find that my foundation and bb cream feel like they are melting away over this. It’s funny as I shouldn’t complain about such a hydrating product considering I have drier skin but dare I say this is just overkill? Perhaps someone who has a finely lined face and more maturer skin might appreciate this but my own face, although dry, is fairly smooth and doesn’t really need four different oils to hydrate it. It’s just way too slick, way too greasy feeling….! As I said it does have a silicone-like feel on skin so it does offer some blurring and filling abilities but the serum-like texture is very moist and slick on my skin and leaves me with a dewy finish. Too much and you’ll end up looking all kinds of greasy! I was thinking maybe my skin would appreciate this formula more when the cooler weather hits but I realize I’m making excuses for it. You have to be very, very, very, did I say very? Careful with this stuff! You really need the smallest amount to do your entire face. I find the texture is nothing at all like Honey Dew Me Up and toes the line at being part serum, part silicone primer. This is formulated with a ton of different oils including corn, apricot kernel, passiflora, and rice bran oil which YSL promises as skin softening but without the greasy residue (Ummm yeah, this is slick as hell).
It comes housed in a gorgeous clear glass pump and quite resembles NYX Honey Dew Me as suspended in the clear primer base are tiny flecks of gold.
